T O P I C R E V I E WladybatesI know that lots of Saturn, and node aspects can signify karma between two people. However, what if one person is not ready for that aspect in their life? Would they come together again in another life to finally learn that lesson? Or would they need to figure it out in this lifetime? Lots of Saturn aspects can feel very heavy so I can understand if one person does not want to deal with that. If ones north node was conjunct a personal planet, and they were not ready to learn the lessons put forth, would they come together later on?I guess I would like to know also, can astrology predict what people are put on this earth to teach us lessons in becoming better people? What would you look for in the synastry?AmphitriteHi ladybates,I think hard aspects between Saturn and personal planets in synastry is very binding, where Saturn can very much play the role of teacher in some respect. Relationships with heavy Saturn are never easy in my experience, but are always the ones where you can learn so much and I think also find it very difficult to break away from. I think that a relationship with hard Saturn aspects may have become important to you now to learn lessons for this lifetime, but I don't think it necessarily means its a tie that won't go beyond this lifetime. If you read Linda's book Relationship Signs you will find that she talks alot about the importance of Saturn in relationships.I think when somebody has personal planets that conjunct your North Node, this person is an important part of your personal growth well into the future. The North Node is about your future and the path that may help define you as you evolve. I think you may find with NN connections, the ties that bind aren't as strong as Saturn, and I think in many cases the NN person may want to run if they're not willing to work on their path just yet.I have read a bit here and there about the NN and synastry, and I do remember reading that people in relationships who have NN connections will continue to meet through lifetimes until the lessons that need to be learnt are learnt. That was basically the jist of it. I can't remember the author, sorry. But if you want to read more about the North Node, I suggest you read some of Jan Spiller's books, she is very knowledgeable in this area. I'm an 8th house Leo with a Cappy rising. Karma might be my forte lolstaborgiI clicked this topic because the title reminded me of a recent relationship I had with someone- it was really Saturn and Node heavy. His NN exactly conjunct my 1st house Jupiter (which is also my Sag Sun's ruler), his Saturn conjunct my Sun, my Saturn exactly conjunct his ASC, square his Sun, and sextile his Moon. I felt like the Saturn stuff was really related to our personal beings- all the aforementioned aspects were exact and related to our personal points and planets. We both felt the need to help each other out and look out for each other. We liked each other a lot but constantly noticing things you want to change in another person for their betterment isn't really romantic to me...it kind of skewed our roles into parental and the possibility of romance was very difficult in my opinion. This was so overwhelmingly true in this case, despite otherwise strong indicators of romantic and sexual interest (exact Moon/Mars conjunction, Venus/Mars conjunction, Venus/ASC conjunction) And this is coming from someone with Venus conjunct Saturn natally! I do value Saturn definitely in relationships but this experience kind of changed my mind about what I've read and been led to believe about the importance of Saturn in relationships...maybe later in my life I'll feel differently but for now, I'm not a fan of the way Saturn puts itself in the role of "watchful guidance." popcornMy first husbands saturn opp my venus. My saturn opp his venus. Our composite was saturn opp venus. Spooky. I was 16 and he was 21 and we was like a old couple. Pensioners in young year. It was so boring. It was not easy to break. When we got our Son my next saturn/pluto relationship brings into my life.I was 19. My saturn conj his venus/merk (in strong KITE). His neptun trine my saturn and trine my venus/NN/mars. His saturn trine my Sun/AC. His saturn square my pluto. My saturn opp his pluto.Saturn was hart aspected in our composite. We was married in 15 year. It was many many good year. Both this relationships feels it was meant to be and very karmic. My second marriage was in control through pluto and saturn. Saturn was one karmic part in the relatinship which not want break.
